Alexis Rhodes was surprised that your muse not only beat her in a duel, but that because she lost she’d agreed to go out on a date with your muse. Not exactly something she wanted to do due to her feelings for Jaden. Still, she’s a woman of her word and has agreed to do this.
“You know, this date is only for tonight right? I never agreed to go on more than one date, okay? So, you better hope this date goes well.”
“You know you don’t have to do this if you’re uncomfortable Alexis…” Bastion said quietly. Despite his feelings for her he would never want to force her into this. Let alone when she obviously wanted someone else.
“I just need to stop off at the music room.. you can just accompany me there and be done with it if you wish…”
“I appreciate you saying that, but I should at least try to keep my word since we did make a deal out of this,” however, Alexis understood that once they finish going to the music room and then part ways to their respective dorms, then that will be fine.
“What do you need in the music room by the way?” Alexis wasn’t aware that he even took any music classes here.
“Only if you’re comfortable with that” Bastion smiled as he kept going. “Oh that? I left my piano book in there. I’d be very distraught if I lost it”
Thankfully once they got to the music room there was the book on the piano, completely untouched
“Thank goodness” Bastion smiled and grabbed the book with very gentle hands. “There you go, you’re free now if that’s what you wish” he said with a slight playful tone.
Piano? Well, she can’t honestly say she never heard him play the piano before. “I’m surprised. I never heard you play any instrument before. Although, if I had to guess what kind of instrument you would have played, I would have figured the violin.”
“Well I never had much interest in music but my mother was a famous pianist and I grew to love it through her…” Bastion blushed modestly, playing a few notes on the keys with delicate fingers
He chuckled “violins are a nice instrument but not my thing… do you play any instruments Alexis?”
Alexis is surprised to hear him mention about his mother and could hear the few notes he plays to make such nice sounds. She then hears his question, before she replied.
“I played the piano. Although, its been too long since I played it,” despite this though, the moment her fingers touched the keys, she managed to play a small quick melody. “But I guess some things are hard to forget.”
“I see… well it’s an instrument that suits you!” Bastion finds himself blushing “I’ve always wanted to do a piano duet…”
He then held his hands up “n-not that I’m suggesting you indulge me it’s just well it gets a bit lonely playing by yourself everyday!”

Alexis giggled softly with what he said, knowing it would be nice to play the piano with someone else. “If we were to do a duet, what kind of song did you have in mind to play?”
Bastion paused and thought about it before looking to the book. “I think there’s something in here…”
He delicately went through the pages before smiling “how about this? Mozart’s Sonata in D?”
He knew his mother’s book would come through for him!
Alexis sees the song he picked out and begins to take her seat. Before she begins playing the music. She took her time though since she wanted to make sure she remembers every bit of her past lessons.
Bastion smiled and sat beside her.
“I’ll take the top half and you take the bottom half?” He smiles. The bottom half seemed like it would be more readable where she was sitting.
He takes a deep breath and starts playing. He loses himself in the music as his fingers delicately dance across the keys. His head nodding to the music as his body moves on its own. He’s completely consumed by the Sonata.
Once they finish playing he takes a deep breath and sighed “that was incredible!”
Without thinking he looked up to a space above the piano. “What did you think Mother?”
He seemed to forget Alexis was there for a moment.
Alexis nods in agreement with what he suggested before she takes the top half, while he takes the bottom half. She has to admit, he’s really good at this. She could tell he was getting into this and both of them were able to get through this without any mistakes.
Once they finished, she took notice of him looking off into space, while seeming to forget she’s there. “I’m sure she would have loved this.”
Bastion snapped back to reality and looked to Alexis embarrassed. Did he really talk to his mother in front of her?
He then smiled at her statement, it was comforting she understood. “Thank you… I’m sure she would’ve…”
He blushed modestly “thank you Alexis… I’ve never shared this side of me with anyone before… well besides Chazz but he just sits and listens… I’ve never had someone play music with me before”
